Lecce Cemetery - Cimitero di Lecce
Today, having dropped a friend off in Lecce for the
airport shuttle, and it being such a warm sunny day,
I decided to walk through the cemetery. The tombs
are mainly built in honey coloured Leccese stone and
the tall poplar trees line the avenues like giant guards.
Being sunday there was a fair amount of activity with
relatives changing withered flowers for fresh in the
communal mausoleums.
The beauty of the place is undeniable.
