The end - Santa Maria di Leuca
The other day I drove south for almost an hour until
I reached the end of Italy's heel, where the southern
most town of Salento. Santa Maria di Leuca, looks
out across the water.
From this point, where the Ionian sea meets the
Adriatic sea, there's no more land to the south until
the shores of Libya.
