Aesop Stores

I'm a big fan of Aesop stores and their
products

  1. What's good? I see they have a 'pug' soap for dogs!
I lighten the shelves Kiehl's last week, not as high end - fig and sage is feeding my need of a sweet aroma!

  2. My favorites at Aesop are Classic Shampoo (Rosemary Leaf-Cedarwood Bark-Juniper Berry) and Sage Scalp Cleaning Shampoo (Rosemary Leaf-Cedar Atlas-Sage Leaf). I like Kiehl's too. I had a Kiehl's store next to my apartment in Milan. The fig and sage sounds great. But the body wash that I've been using for the past 10 years is Aveda's Rosemary Mint, it's so fresh and invigorating. There's also a very good shampoo/oil here in Italy called Restiv Oil from Restiva, I don't know how to explain it but it smells sexy.

  3. Hi,
Thanks for the info, like the combinations, the shop looks fabulous. I think fragrances make the day better, a sense I think people don't think about enough or rotate enough; It's like balance, I have visited some beautiful homes and one (agape b/room no less! kitchen won't even go there!) it looked great but was edging soulless because it was dirty, smelt of nothing, no fire and to kill the balance no food (- at least we should find the best bread available...no?) and so easy to address the balance...
Like if I am feeling shy and I am going out to a big dinner in the summer, I use ground vanilla as a perfume, white linen shirt (always Hackett - go with this! lol) everyone has a memory or story about vanilla and it surprises people. It makes people nicer also, I just say I was baking... ultimate 'smell' though is Czech and Speake no.88 - It smells of 'time and hope' to me!

  4. Hahahaha...well Ivan I too think that smells/perfumes are very important in our lives. I smell everything. I was just stripping paint off a door in my new home and I had to have an incense stick burning for atmosphere. I use the most fantastic tibetan herbal incense sticks. I have to order them because they're so difficult to find. I know Czech & Spake's n°. 88, I like it too. I'm trying to spend as little money as possible lately, but I still can't resist buying myself candles and thinks that smell good. Peter
